In this 6-lesson series on Math Fun, we look at Paradoxes and then at the Fibonacci Sequence and its golden ratio.

A paradox is a statement or situation, which appears to be sel-contradictory or counter to common sense. Paradoxes can be found frequently in situations that require individuals to make a choice. In this 4-part series, we'll look at several famous mathematical paradoxes, including the Area Paradox, the Banach-Tarski Paradox, Newcomb's Paradox, and Zeno's paradox. Some of these paradoxes turn out to be optical illusions, and some are refuted on the grounds of common sense or calculus. However, on their surface, all appear to be paradoxical.

The sequence of Fibonacci numbers is formed in such a way that each number is the sum of the two that preced it. The sequence begins with 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13
