A screen patch is a quick and easy remedy to fix a damaged wall and is used in places where structural strength and aesthetic perfection are not important. Unlike a pumpkin patch, a screen patch protrudes slightly from the wall, so a bump will be somewhat visible after the patch is made. A closet is an ideal example of a place where a screen patch would be useful. Do not use a screen patch in areas of high traffic or visible scrutiny.
