In this drum lesson we are looking at sub-divisions - dividing each beat into between one and eight notes. Playing double strokes as our rudiment on the snare drum and playing the hi hat on the quarter note with the foot.
With this rudiment we need to make sure, when playing odd sub-divisions of three, five and seven, our hi hat falls on the second note of each double stroke on beats 2+4.
